The firm was founded by John G. Pelaghias in 1920. Later his son George J. Pelaghias commenced practicing in 1950. The firm operated originally in Limassol and then George J. Pelaghias commenced practice in Nicosia. In 1984 Alexandra Pelaghias-Christodoulou joined her father in the practice and became partner in the firm. In 1992 Petros Fr. Vrachas joined the firm which was then re-organised and as from 1993 was named PELAGHIAS, CHRISTODOULOU & VRACHAS. With the increase in work of the firm, the partners of Pelaghias, Christodoulou & Vrachas felt that expanding their practice would enable them to provide a more comprehensive and concentrated service to their clients so they proceeded with the renaming of the firm to PELAGHIAS, CHRISTODOULOU, VRACHAS & CO. with the addition of senior and junior associate lawyers which are now numbering two. The new firm’s policy is to have a high ratio of partners to support staff. As a result it can offer every client the services of a partner in relation to every matter, either on a day to day basis or in a supervisory role.
