1977 | The company was founded by the owner Kypros Charalambous. The aim of the company was to offer electrical installations under the name of Kypros H. Charalambous Electrical Installations. The success of the company was based on quality installation and meeting customer requirements.

1982 | Following the success of electrical installations a fresh new addition was introduced under the new company name of KNC Sound & Light. This company was responsible for new designs to include sound as well as lighting. The main audience was commercial night clubs, pubs, bars and similar entertainment venues. Most of the projects were installed in the tourist area of Ayia Napa, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos as well as Nicosia.

2000 | The market had now grown further with the need for control and automation. It was at this time that the company was awarded exclusive distributors of Dynalite Control Systems (Australia)

2001 | To mark this turning point in history the company was renamed to KNC Advanced Lighting Systems. The audience was primarily residential and commercial. To meet the growing demand for a broader service offering the company introduced new products for light fittings to complement the main product of KNC the Dynalite Control System.

2003 | To demonstrate the growth and increased product range KNC announced the opening of a new showroom in the centre of the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. This included fitments, lighting and automation controlled by Dynalite products. This offered customers a first hand experience of managing and visualising their needs for lighting and sound environments.

2004 | To further enhance the product range KNC were assigned as exclusive distributors of Prolicht Lighting Fittings (Austria). During this period KNC was also one of the exhibitors of the 29th Cyprus International Fair.

2005 | For the second time KNC were exhibitors at the 30th Cyprus International Fair.

2006 | Following success in fittings KNC we awarded exclusive distributors of Occhio Lighting Fittings (Germany). Again KNC for the third time was one of the exhibitors of the 31th Cyprus International Fair.

2007 | As KNC made an impact in sound they were assigned as exclusive distributors of Novasonar Invisible Loudspeakers (Germany)

2008 | To encapsulate the broader designs andproducts KNC Advanced Lighting Systems were renamed to KNC Automations. This now reflected the new direction of incorporating not only lighting, fittings and sound but the full complement of control using the Dynalite Control System. This offers customers a one stop shop for all their control and environment needs.
